The project brief was to create an artist’s studio extension to an existing traditional stone villa in the West End of Glasgow.

The client’s requirement was to have light, open work and living spaces with connections to a private rear garden and open parkland to the front.

Tight Planning restrictions and a desire to complement the existing streetscape informed the choice of shapes and materials.
