A modern kitchen and living space was created through extending the original servants' quarters of a large sandstone villa.

In line with Conservation Area requirements traditional sandstone was used to mirror the original building - but ceilings were opened up with large roof lights. Sliding glass walls connect the kitchen to the garden. The connection to the new area was created to incorporate a tunnel fireplace.
